Regardless of which type of oil pressure gauge is used to detect the hydraulic system, the following four preparations should be done before detection:
Understand the working conditions, characteristics, and load characteristics of the executing elements of the hydraulic system to be tested;
Check the hydraulic system diagram of the tested machinery, the normal operating data of the executing elements, and determine the detection point;
According to the data that needs to be detected by the tested hydraulic system, prepare an oil pressure gauge that matches the detection range, a measuring pressure joint connected to the detection point, a series of three-way joints, and recording paper, pen, stopwatch, etc. If necessary, prepare video recording equipment for playback of the detection process;
Make preparations for safety, and the oil pressure gauge should have protective equipment.
Mechanical or digital oil pressure gauge
During the pressure rising stage when testing the pressure of the hydraulic system, the rising process of the system pressure from low to high can be observed, because the executing elements of the hydraulic system have a certain capacity and the flow rate and load of the hydraulic system are different, the pressure rising time will be different.
During the pressure holding stage, the oil pressure gauge rises from zero to the highest system pressure within a predetermined time and the pointer remains stable, indicating that the hydraulic system is working stably and reliably. If the pointer trembles or shakes, it indicates that the hydraulic system is not stable; if the shaking amplitude is too large, it indicates that the oil pressure gauge pointer shaking may be caused by hydraulic pump failure, oil inlet pipe sucking air, or hydraulic system leakage.
During the load overflow stage, when the hydraulic system reaches the maximum load, the oil pressure gauge pointer should instantly indicate the overflow pressure. If the pointer stops before reaching the overflow pressure or rises from low pressure to medium pressure, stops, and then suddenly jumps to the overflow pressure, it indicates that the overflow valve or pressure limiting valve is not working stably or has faults.
Universal oil pressure gauge
Using a universal oil pressure gauge can detect pressure, temperature, flow rate and other data of the hydraulic system. Before measurement, install a pressure sensor or a temperature sensor with a corresponding range at the predetermined pressure testing point of the hydraulic system, and when testing the flow rate, the flow meter needs to be connected in series in the pipeline.
Connect these sensors with the universal oil pressure gauge through cables, and the signal values detected by the sensors are transmitted to the computer in the universal oil pressure gauge with storage, display, and micro-processing functions through cables.
The detection curve can be repeatedly viewed and analyzed, and the data can be stored. The detection personnel can combine the logic of detecting faults with mechanical or electronic oil pressure gauges to preliminarily determine the location and cause of the fault in the tested hydraulic system.
