General pressure gauge can be interoperability, which means the commonly used hydraulic oil pressure gauge and air pressure gauge can be used interchangeably as long as the range and precision can keep constant. If it is corrosive medium, you can only use air pressure gauge, such as oxygen, hydrogen, ammonia pressure gauge. Under such circumstance, hydraulic oil pressure gauge is not advisable to apply in these medium. In fact, the pressure of each working point of the hydraulic system can be observed through the hydraulic oil pressure gauge for adjustment and control. Therefore, the selection of the pressure gauge should be based on the production requirements of the use process, and specific analysis should be made for the specific situation.
The fluid pressure of the hydraulic system is caused by the extrusion of the hydraulic oil by the load. Therefore the hydraulic gauge can express the the amount of fluid pressure.
Generally speaking, a standard pressure gauge is reading the total pressure minus the atmospheric pressure. The unit for a high precision pressure gauge reading relative pressure is psi (pounds per square inch) or psig (pounds per square inch gauge).
The low pressure gauge is the pressure lower than 15psi/1bar. We should use the capsule membrane to instead the bourdon tube style pressure gauge. By the way, the high pressure gauge is the pressure more than 250bar/psi.
